Near mountains Harghita, Frumoasa is a small village with a several centuries long traditions and roots.

After the legend the village was named by Saint Ladislaus, hungarian king. Once, visiting this place by horse, stopping at a spring, he told to his horse: "drink from this spring, this is nice water." Frumoasa means nice water.
